Tal Karplus is a partner at the law office of Shibolet & Co. (Tel Aviv, Israel) and heads the Tech Transfer and Licensing Practice. With over two decades of experience in the field of medical device development and commercialization, Tal counsels his clients in all matters pertaining to medical device development, commercialization and licensing. As a practitioner and skilled in technology transfer and intellectual property commercialization, Tal routinely assists entrepreneurs, governmental research organizations, technology institutions and tech transfer offices, as well as privately held and publicly traded corporations, from start-ups to multinationals, in optimizing, retaining, developing and commercializing intellectual property assets.
Tal holds an LL.B and B.A (Business) from IDC, The Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya Israel. He is a member of the New York State Bar as well as the Israeli Bar Association where Tal co-Chairs the Tel-Aviv Intellectual Property Committee and is a deputy Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Committee.
